Referral Process
How it Works

The child’s parent/caregiver will need to get a physician referral (prescription) requesting “Occupational or Speech Therapy to evaluate and treat” at “The Play Lab.” Counseling does not require a physician referral.

All referrals must include a relevant medical diagnosis.

Typically the physician will fax a copy of the referral to The Play Lab. They may also give it directly to the parents to deliver to The Play Lab offices.

Once the referral is received, The Play Lab staff will contact the parent to confirm the order and to schedule an appointment for an evaluation.
