Occupational Therapist

eports to: Lead Motor Therapist/Supervising Therapist

Summary of duties: The Occupational Therapist, working as part of a trans-disciplinary team of providers, evaluates and treats children ages three to 18 years. The therapist through the evaluation process implements appropriate treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university

• Masters degree from an accredited college/university

• Current Occupational Therapist license on file with the Administrative Office

• Desire to continue career improvement

Reports to: Lead Motor Therapist/Supervising Therapist

Summary of duties: The Occupational Therapy assistant, working as part of a trans-disciplinary team of providers, treats children ages birth to three years. Under the guidance of a licensed occupational therapist, the occupational therapy assistant implements appropriate treatment Associates degree from an accredited college/university

Qualifications:

• Associates degree from an accredited college/university is necessary a Bachelor’s degree is desirable but not necessary

• Current New Mexico issued Occupational Therapy license on file in the Administrative Office

• Desire to continue career improvement

Reports to: Lead Therapist/Supervising Therapist

Summary of duties: The Speech Therapist, working as part of a trans-disciplinary team of providers, evaluates and treats children ages three to 18 years in a clinical setting. The therapist through the evaluation process implements appropriate treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree from an accredited college/university

• Current New Mexico Speech Therapist license or ability to be licensed by the state of New Mexico

• Ability to pass background/drug testing

• Possess professional liability insurance

• Possess valid driver’s license

• Possess valid auto insurance

• Desire to continue career improvement

General Job Requirements

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions

Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.

Requires stooping, bending, and reaching.

Must work in noisy and crowded environments.

Provide parents with information regarding their child’s present level of development and expected next steps

Encourage and train parents in appropriate methods to advocate for their and their child’s needs

Complete daily treatment notes

Complete regular progress reports in a timely manner

Complete transition reports in a timely manner

Complete billing in a timely manner

Complete employee payroll paperwork requirements in a timely manner

Attend staff meetings

Attend collaborative meetings

Other meetings as required

Participate in company provided trainings

Provide ongoing informal trainings for team members

Provide formal trainings to staff members as requested

Comply with policies and procedures

Covid-19 Vaccination recommended

Other duties as assigned
